The Right to Information Act ,2005 is a law enacted by the Parliament of India which came into force on 15th June,2005. This Act provides right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of Public authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.
 
All Universities and colleges established by law made by Parliament or by State Legislature or by notification by the appropriate Government or owned,controlled or substantially financed directly or indirectly by funds provided by the Government shall come within the purview of a public authority under this Act.
 
Nayagarh Prajamandal Mahila Mahavidyalaya constituted RTI Cell as per Government norms & regulations.

How to apply for RTI

Application under RTI Act should be addressed to the Public Information Officer.In case the applicant is not satisfied with the answer or does not get the reply within stipulated time(30 days),he/she can file an appeal to the Appellate Authority.

The application can be sent by post addressed to the PIO,NPMM along with the prescribed fee in the shape of bank draft or IPO drawn in favour of "NPMM College" payable at Nayagarh. The prescribed fee for the purpose is Rs.10/-. Applicant would be required to pay for stationary / photocopy charges separately,if applicable,as per Act.
